The Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA) is the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) in Western Australia. Governed by an Aboriginal Board of Directors who represent all regions in Western Australia, AHCWA aims to promote and strengthen the ACCHS model of care – built around the delivery of comprehensive, holistic, and culturally secure primary health care services.

Connects thousands of volunteers to community organisations. Provides a range of resources, services and support so that people in Western Australia are aware of, and understand, the nature and scope of volunteer activity.
Needle and syringe exchange program. Professional training and development for health sector workers and a range of support and prevention education services to target audiences at risk of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and blood-borne virus transmissions.
Comprised of over 100 rural, remote and regional Community Resource Centres (CRCs). CRCs provide access to government and community services and information, and undertake community, business and economic development activities.

PHNs have been established with the key objectives of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
